WHAT WE DO

Wherever we are, our first objective is to promote the integral growth and all-round development of young people. Hence we run Schools, Technical Institutes, and Youth Centres, We offer young people a variety of educational and developmental activities such as media education, life-skills training, career guidance, job placement services, entrepreneurship skills, catechetical training, and a lot more. We also work for the social and economic development of people. We join hands with all people of good will and network with other like-minded organizations, governments and international bodies for the cause of the young, especially those at risk. The Young at Risk (street children, school dropouts, child workers, rag pickers, victims of war and violence, etc) are the focus of our special concern.

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

To help young people become the best they can be. Inspired by Jesus who came that they may have life, and have it to the full, and following the example of Don Bosco, our Founder, we dedicate our lives totally to the welfare of young people, especially those who are deprived and marginalized in our society. We journey with them through life, sharing their joys and hopes, their griefs and anxieties, their dreams and aspirations.

HOW WE DO WHAT WE DO

Every Don Bosco institution is run according to the principles of Don Boscos System of Education, popularly known as the Preventive System. Its key elements are: reason, religion, and relationship. It is a way of being with the young, understanding, affirming and accompanying them along the delicate and often difficult journey they make to reach the fullness of maturity physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual as persons.

Currently, in Africa we are organized into twelve provinces/vice provinces. namely AET,AFW,ZMB,AFE,AFM,AGL,ATE,AFO,AFC,MDG,ANG and MOZ.
